Display preferences is the bottom tab in the sidebar, allowing for various changes to how you see and interact with the program.
1. Zoom
This slider allows you to adjust the zoom of the script, zooming both in and out according to your preference.
2. System Display
These buttons allow you to select the display of the program- night mode turns the background black and the text white, while day mode has a white background with black text.
3. Script Font
This toggle allows you to select between the three industry-standard fonts: Courier Prime, Courier Prime Sans, and Courier Prime System.
4. Word Count
This toggle allows you to see your word count when turned on.
5. Popup Formatting Palette
This toggle allows you to have the formatting palette only pop up when you make a section in the script. If turned off, the palette will be seen at the bottom of the screen.
6. Hide Element Menu
The element menu holds the small icons to the direct left of your text that allows you to switch between formattings, such as action, dialogue, and scene heading. Toggling this button hides the icons until you make a selection on your script.
7. Hide Headers and Footers
This button allows you to toggle off or on page breaks, depending on preference.
8. Highlight Characters
This button allows selecting characters in your script and highlights every one of their lines for easy scanning of the script. You can also select the color that you would like the character to be highlighted with. Below is an example of the pop-up that you will be shown when clicking the “open” button.
9. Auto Capitalize
Toggle on and off auto-capitalizing the first letter in each sentence.
